ECONO BOX BREAKS 500,000 USED BOX MARK

AUSTIN, Texas – February 2, 2007 – Econo Box Company, Austin, Texas’ leading supplier of used and new moving boxes announced they have passed the half million mark in used box sales. “I remember when I was a little kid riding in my parents’ car and driving by McDonald's and seeing the sign that showed how many customers they served. I think that it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 10,000,000 customers served. In the same tradition of keeping track of numbers, we are proud to announce that we have now sold more than 500,000 used moving boxes since opening in 1994,” said Mark Wright, Econo Box General Manager.

When Econo Box was started in 1994, used boxes were all they did. As customer needs grew, they started selling new moving boxes to meet the demand. They have expanded to carry a full line of stock boxes and packing supplies, creating one-stop shopping at affordable prices. However, they still buy and sell used moving boxes and always will.

“Five hundred thousand boxes. That is a lot of cardboard. If an average moving box weighs three pounds, that would be 1,500,000 pounds of cardboard or 750 tons of used moving boxes that didn’t go into landfills. As we continue on into 2007, our priority will continue to be to give our customers the best value possible. It took us ten years to get to the half a million mark. Our goal is to become the McDonald's of used boxes. Billions and Billions saved,” said Wright.
With three locations, 2212 Rutland Drive, 5400 Brodie Lane, Ste. 220, and 115 Sundance Parkway, Ste. 300 in Round Rock, a home for your used moving boxes is just a short drive or phone call away. At Econo Box, a box is a terrible thing to waste.
