ECOBOX
Econo Box has been proud to be your box and packaging supplier for over 10 years. We look forward to serving your needs for the next 10 years as well. However, we are in the process of changing our name. We will now be known as Eco Box. The name change is mainly due to there being a box company in the Seattle, Washington area with the name Econo Box. We want our new name to not only reflect Economy but Ecology as well. There is NO change in ownership, address, or telephone number. The only change will be in the name. As of August 1st, you will see the new logo on all forms, the website as well as on email addresses.

Though the name will be a little different, our goal to provide our customers the same value and service will remain the same. Thank you for your patience in this matter.

SUNDAY HOURS
In our continuous effort to better serve you, we are pleased to announce that our Brodie and LaFrontera stores are now open on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 5 p.m. In addition, we have extended the Brodie and LaFrontera Store hours by one hour on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

EXTENDED HOURS
During the month of July, we ran a promotion in which we extended our hours from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Brodie and La Frontera locations from Monday through Friday. As of August 1st the hours at the Brodie and La Frontera stores will revert back to 6 p.m. on Monday through Friday. The Saturday and Sunday hours will remain the same.

THE CUBE
We have begun carrying a very interesting product called The Cube. The cube is an interlocking system of angleboards which forms a shell around the outer edges of all stacked product. It fits on a 48” x 40” pallet. The cube also comes with interlocking ties that fit diagonally on the angleboards to help provide stability. The height can be adjusted from 41” to 68”. It is a fantastic application for packaging that comes in cubed form. If you have any questions about the uses or pricing for The Cube, please contact us for any questions or a demonstration.

SUNDAY HOURS
In our continuous effort to better serve you, we are pleased to announce that our Brodie and LaFrontera stores will now be open on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 5 p.m. effective May 6, 2007. In addition, we have extended the Brodie and LaFrontera Store hours by one hour on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

NEW ITEMS
We have recently added moving kits to our inventory. The moving kits are an all inclusive solution that comes packaged in its own box. It includes boxes, tape, bubble wrap, wrapping paper and a marker. There are two different size kits. It is a low-cost and convenient way to buy boxes and moving supplies. NEW FACES
We are happy to announce that we have hired Jason Woodbury to be our new LaFrontera store manager. Our former manager, Eric Virkkala has decided to go back to his first love: selling bicycles. Jason has worked in the moving industry as well as the high tech field. We are very excited about him becoming part of our team. We are also pleased to announce that we have hired Will Kell to be our weekend store manager. Will works at the Brodie store on Saturday and LaFrontera on Sunday.

MEMORIAL DAY
Econo Box will be closed on Monday, May 28, 2007 in observance of Memorial Day. We will reopen Tuesday, May 29th. For orders placed on Friday, May 25th will be delivered on Tuesday, May 29th. Orders place on Saturday, May 26th will be delivered on Wednesday, May 30th.

May will be the last month that the Econo Box newsletter and statements will be sent out at the same time. In the future, newsletters will only be sent out electronically. ELECTRONIC STATEMENTS
Last month was our first to send out electronic statements. Many of you were very excited about this new capability which will allow us to get information to you in a more timely fashion. If you would like to receive your statements via the internet, please contact George Schinler @ 512-836-7644 and he can set up your account. This will also allow you to look at your purchase history, order online, pay bills and have access to all of your pricing. However, if you would still like to receive your statements by mail or fax, please contact Abby Blank @ 512-836-7644 and we will be glad to make the change.

NEW PRODUCTS
You asked for it, you got it. By popular demand, we are now carrying poly bubble mailers. These mailers are the same size as normal kraft bubble mailers. However they are lined with plastic which makes them much more tear resistant and waterproof. They can also be written on with a permanent marker. We will be carrying the 0,00,000,1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7 sizes.

USED LAPTOP BOXES/PICTURE BOXES
We recently purchased used laptop boxes. These boxes are in fantastic shape. They have almost no writing or markings. The boxes are 28 x 5 x 21 and come with anti static foam inserts. They also have locking tabs to secure the box. I recently used one to ship a laptop to New York and the box worked great. They can also be used to ship framed pictures and mirrors. These are priced at $5.00 per box. Most of them also come with a static shielding bag to put the laptop in. I only have about 20 of them left so they will go fast.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
We would like to wish all of our customers a very happy and prosperous New Year. Hopefully 2006 was filled with success and 2007 will be even better. While the recent ice storm caused us all to miss a few days, we are glad to be back to normal.

On recent invoices, some of you may have noticed lower prices that what is advertised on our current price lists. The reason for this is we have added volume based pricing beyond our regular less than and bundle pricing for our customers. As of yet, we are not able to print out a list of the volume breaks and discounts. However, the prices are available on our new website, or you can just call us and we will be happy to go over where the breaks would be and what the discounts are. We are able to offer this new volume based pricing because of a new software capability and most importantly, our commitment of providing you the most competitive pricing.

In the past, we carried the Instapak expandable in-place foam. We sold the packets individually to customers. However, the problem with this was that the had to be activated with a special heating element. We now have found the Instapak foam bags that do not need to be heated. These new bags can be activated at room temperature. We will be selling these bags individually. The sizes of the bags are:

10x10x10
12x12x12
18x12x12

The bags provide the same protection as the heated bags without the warming time. The bags work best in a temperature between 65 and 90 degrees.
